Who are we ?
Comments
When you leave a comment on our website, the data recorded in the comment form, as well as your IP address and your browser’s user agent, are collected to help us detect undesirable comments.
An anonymized chain created using your email address (also known as a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to verify if you use it. The confidentiality terms of the Gravatar service are available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been validated, your profile photo will be publicly visible next to your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, we recommend that you avoid uploading images containing EXIF data from GPS coordinates. People visiting your website may download and extract location data from these images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our website, you will be asked whether you would like to record your name, email address and website in cookies. This is solely intended to increase your comfort by preventing you from having to enter this information again the next time you comment. These cookies will expire after one year.
If you visit the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain personal data and will be automatically deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, we use a certain number of cookies to save your login details and viewing preferences. A login cookie has a lifetime of two days, and a viewing preference cookie has a lifetime of one year. If you select “remember me”, your login cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be erased.
If you edit or publish a post, an additional cookie will be saved on your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It merely indicates the ID of the post you have just edited. It will expire after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same manner as if the user were visiting the other website.
These websites may collect your personal data, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools or track your interactions with the embedded content if you have logged into the website in question.
Use and transmission of your personal data
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Time for which the data is stored
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata will be stored indefinitely. This makes it possible to recognize and automatically approve subsequent comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.
For accounts created on our website (if applicable), we also store the personal data indicated in their profiles. All accounts may see, modify or delete their personal data at any time (except for their usernames). The website’s administrators may also view and modify this data.
Your rights to your personal data
If you have an account or if you have left a comment on the website, you may ask to receive a file containing all of your personal data in our possession, including the data you have provided to us. You may also ask us to delete your personal data. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Transmission of your personal data
Visitors’ comments may be verified using an automated system to detect undesirable comments.
